sustainable development

Like you, we believe that it is possible to travel in a more rational way, while enjoying the best of the Moroccan art de vivre, in accordance with sustainable and responsible practices.

Our CSR approach is based on three pillars:

people, the environment and sustainable innovation.

People

We cultivate the talents of our employees and build relationships with local communities.

Orange tree

We are adapting intelligently and responsibly to planetary boundaries,

Solar Panel

Sustainable innovation

We are constantly striving to improve our guesthouse to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible.

The Orange Grove

We planted more than 400 orange trees and about 100 other trees.
In addition to providing excellent oranges for our hosts, a orange tree absorbs about 25 kg of CO2 per year. We estimate that our annual positive impact on the entire orangery is 10 tons of CO2.

Energy management

In 2024, we installed 78 m2 of solar panels, covering 75% of the energy needs of Dar Beynana.

In addition to this renewable energy production, we are reducing our consumption through several initiatives: solar boilers for hot water, solar showers for the pool, low-consumption LED lighting, presence detectors, timers and double glazing for the suites.

These actions reduce our impact by 18.2 tonnes of CO2 per year.

Water management

Water is a precious resource, and we make sure to consume what we need and save this resource as much as possible.
The water from the swimming pool is entirely reused for watering green spaces.
We hunt for water leaks on a daily basis to avoid wasting water.
The faucets in the suites are equipped with water pressure reducers.
Installation of environmentally friendly devices and equipment (automatic shutdown of the lifting pump).

Waste management

Our guest house minimizes waste.

We sort and collect waste, including batteries, light bulbs and cooking oils for recycling.

Meals are prepared on request. A compost is used for plant waste.
We have eliminated plastics and opted for glass containers. Our cleaning products are purchased in bulk or in bulk, helping to reduce the environmental impact and preserve the health of our customers.
We prefer electronic mail.

Quality of life

In addition to the orangery which ensures the production of citrus fruits and fruits, we have set up a vegetable garden where we grow aromatic plants and vegetables. We choose environmentally friendly suppliers and we exclusively use eco-labeled products for maintenance and gardening.

Local produce

We favor the short circuit by working with local producers for meals. We offer homemade recipes from local products. Individual packaging is reduced to a minimum.

The majority of products used at Dar Beynana are organic and environmentally friendly, from shampoo to laundry detergent to cooking ingredients. We are committed to offering organic, local and seasonal products that are beneficial for the planet and health!

Responsible purchasing

When renewing our equipment, we favor committed suppliers and sustainable products, adapted to environmental conditions.

We have acquired an electric blower to reduce air pollution and noise. The Beynana salon has an air extractor that regulates the indoor temperature according to the outside, particularly appreciated in summer and winter. A voltage stabilizer has also been installed to extend the life of the equipment and reduce the heating of the electrical cables.

Training & communication

We invest in continuing training of our staff, working with state-approved organizations. Regular communication, both internally and with our customers, is essential to promote eco-gestures and move forward together towards sustainable tourism.

We have also created a hospitality guide to raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage guests to adopt responsible practices during their stay.

Species protection

Souss Massa National Park, with its diverse landscapes and exceptional flora and fauna, is a model of ecological tourism in Morocco.

We support the visit to this park to discover unique ecosystems, but also to support local initiatives for the conservation and preservation of biodiversity. Each visit contributes to the fight against desertification and the protection of endangered species.

Donations & partnerships

Investing with local stakeholders committed to social responsibility is essential for us. Thus, we work in partnership with many associations and local companies committed to the environment. Dar Beynana gets involved by making direct donations to the most deprived. We actively help following natural disasters.
